Our Evolving Sandbars

This is your one stop shop for the history of our local sandbar changes. You'll find at each date below a series of images showing the unique features and timeline comparisons of our ever changing sandbars at Breach Inlet between Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island, as well as south Folly Beach. These are just a couple of the major playground areas for our local ocean athletes and it's always interesting to see the constant changes since they affect the tidal flow, waves, chop, and overall conditions.  Join us we celebrate these fascinating natural formations in our coastal ecological system.
